Unable to log into Online Services for Agents. The following error is displayed:

Error Service Unavailable - identity.gov.au isn't responding at this time. Please try again later.


I've been trying for a while, also different browsers. Is there a current know error?

Hey @TheBookkeeperKE,


Hmm, I've double checked the Online Services for Agents Dashboard (OSAD) as well as our systems maintenance page for any scheduled maintenances happening and can't see anything that would be temporarily stopping you from logging on.


The error message you included also doesn't appear on our technical errors page. I'm going to reach out to one of our subject matter experts to see if they know anything.


I'll post an update as soon as I can, but in the meantime I'd periodically try to log on as well performing all the normal trouble shooting steps, like clearing cache and using different browser.

We've heard back from our experts.


This is a known intermittent issue originating from the Australian Government Digital Identity System (AGDIS), introduced in March 2025. Because the error isn't happening on our side, we're limited in how we can help resolve it.


Based on what you've shared, the problem is likely the browser’s cache. It occurs intermittently and often resolves itself over time.


However, we’ve found that using an incognito/private browsing window usually works, as it avoids writing to or accessing the browser cache.


AGDIS has provided the following suggestions to help resolve the issue:

  1. Clear the browser’s cache.
  2. Ensure the browser is fully up to date.
  3. Try using an alternative browser.
