How can I claim my DASP super on departing Australia

Hi @Datta,

Since your visa expired on 15 March 2026, you are now eligible to submit a departing Australia superannuation payment (DASP) application. You can do this through the DASP online application system. The system will automatically confirm your immigration status with the Department of Home Affairs when you submit your application.

To claim your DASP, you'll need to meet these eligibility requirements:

• You accumulated super while working in Australia on a temporary resident visa.
• Your visa has ceased to be in effect.
• You've left Australia and don't hold any other active Australian visa.
• You're not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia.

Before you apply, check with your employer to confirm they've paid all the super they're required to pay. Employers make super contributions on a quarterly basis, so you'll want to ensure all contributions have been paid into your fund.

If you don't apply for your DASP within 6 months after your visa expires, your super fund will transfer your super to us as unclaimed super money. You can still claim it as DASP from us at any time after that.
