We are a small not for profit social golf club of 45 members. Can we get an ABN to allow businesses to donate to us as sponsors?

Your not-for-profit club can apply for an ABN, if you're carrying on an enterprise in Australia. While not everyone is entitled to an ABN, not-for-profit organisations are generally eligible to apply for one.
Having an ABN can be useful for your club beyond just receiving sponsor donations. It can help you apply for grants, manage a business bank account, and make it easier to interact with businesses and government.
