Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

Hi,

Can someone share more details on the gov co-contribution, say I met all criteria (income threshold/ cap etc) and made a total of $2,500 contribution.

- Claim $1,500 as concessional contribution

- $1,000 as non-concessional contribution

Will I still receive the co-contribution on the $1,000 non-concessional contributions?

I can only find this clause:

  • If you claim a deduction for your personal contributions, you may not be eligible for a super co-contribution.

Thanks.
