Hi,

If you have income earned through full-time employment and also income from side business as a sole trader, how to deduction claims against the side business work? Is the amount deductable only equivilent to the earned income as a sole trader? Or does the deduction come off the total taxable income as both an employee and a sole trader? Is there a certain threshold you have to earn income wise from a side business before you can claim deductables?

Thank you.

Hi @beth_s

We've answered a similar question in a previous thread - have a read through and see if it answers your question.

Also on our website, there's information on when you can claim a deduction as a sole trader.

Hope this helps.
