Hi all, so I have taken up a second job as I work full time on a 4 days on/off role and want to make more money. I get paid fortnightly in my first job which is usually around $1,990 net and either $648 or $972 gross on my second. I am still yet to be paid from my secondary employment though was hoping to get some info on roughly how much I'd get taxed to see if it's going to be worth it. TIA

Search the ATO website for tax tables, 1st job is "claiming tax free threshold", 2nd job is not claiming it.

Helpful hint: Whether you earn (say) $70,000 from one job or 5, you will pay the same amount of tax. If you would be happy getting a payrise, then it's probably worth having a second job.

Hi @JJR92,

We also have some information in this article that should assist you in working our which job to claim the tax free threshold. This is a link to the tax withheld calculator and tax table that @MCA_Accountants mentioned.
