Hi @ivanICE

If you claim your super as a Departing Australia Superannuation Payment (DASP) and you've never held a working holiday maker (WHM) visa, your DASP will be subject to the DASP ordinary tax rates - 35% on taxed element and 45% on untaxed element.

If you're unsure if your super has a taxed or untaxed element, you can ask your super fund.

The DASP WHM tax rate of 65% only applies to DASP where:

    • someone has held a WHM visa, and
    • the DASP includes amounts that relate to contributions which were made while they held the WHM visa.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks
