HI

I own a service based company in Australia and am registered for GST. A client from New Zealand has contacted me asking me to perform some marketing work for them. They reside in New Zealand, fully operate in New Zealand but want to use my marketing skills in Australia.Should I charge them GST?

Hi @gstfreequery ,

That's a very appropriate username :) A supply of a service is usually GST-free if the recipient of the service is outside Australia.

Have a look at our GST-free sales page, where it provides rulings on specific rules that determine if the supply is GST-free.
