I submitted my partnership tax return for 2016-17 via paperwork twice. I also double checked to make sure the address is correct. However I got a letter today in mailbox asking me to lodge my tax return. What else I could have done to ensure the return is submitted? You don't get a receipt if you lodge your return via paperwork and there is no other options, I have also deactivated my ABN 3 years ago

Hi @RahimNoruzi

If the lodgments were only submitted recently, the timing of our 50 business days for paper returns might mean the letter reminding you to lodge was issued before we processed the returns.

It will be best to contact us to confirm if we have in fact received the lodgements.

Cancelling an ABN does not stop your obligation to lodge a return. If the partnership no longer needs to lodge, you'll need to tell us it doesn't need to lodge anymore.
