I have a sole trader account which I'd like to use to charge a company I'm the sole director of. I am registered for GST under sole trader although the account doesn't officially qualify or need to be GST registerd. Do I need to charge the company GST if I invoice it? Or can I leave GST out since it will be the same result (the company will have the GST refunded anyway)...

Hi @jwwtax, As a sole trader registered for GST, you'll need to charge and collect GST on any services that aren't GST-free. I'll include a link to our page on GST-free sales that you can have a read through. If you don't wan't to charge GST and aren't required to be registered you can have a read through our page on cancelling your registration. GST-free sales: https://www.ato.gov.au/business/gst/when-to-charge-gst-(and-when-not-to)/gst-free-sales/ Cancel GST: https://www.ato.gov.au/Business/GST/If-your-business-changes-or-ceases/Cancelling-your-GST-registration/
