Hello, MyGov ID will not verify my passport or Visa information (I am from the USA). This is frustrating as we need to use MyGov ID in conjunction with ServiceWA app to show our vaccination status as of Monday 31st of January.


I keep getting the error code 45045 (422) but there are no issues with my visa and I've actually spoken on the phone with Dept of Home Affairs and the MyGov ID helpline, both of which had no idea why this is happening. I am beyond frustrated and would like to know how to remedy this, thanks.

Sorry that you've been having these issues. 


The visa/ foreign passport instructions from the myGov ID website lists some factors that might prevent a visa from verifying online.


Have you tried to create a myGovID previously with a different email address? Sometimes documents don't verify because they're already linked to another email address. If using a new email address you'd need different documents.


If your passport and visa information can't be verified and you don't have two other required documents, you may be eligible for a basic identity strength for the time being. This means you'd need to show your vaccination status via a paper certificate until your account can be updated to a standard identity strength.  


Hopefully others might chime in with some other advice, which is why it's always good to post questions on an open forum. However the myGov ID helpline is the right avenue for troubleshooting because they're trained to help with account issues and enquiries.

Same here. Been trying to verify with my passport for over 2 weeks after Visa approval. The helpline doesn't provide much help either.

I'm currently experiencing the same issue trying to verify my father's passport. He has Resident Return (subclass 155) which meets all the criteria laid out on the visa/ foreign passport instructions webpage.


We are also seeing the error code 45045 (422).


We tried ringing the myGov ID helpline and the support agent was so unhelpful - she said that foreign passport holders can't have anything higher than Basic Identifty Strength which is ridiculous, because why is adding a visa via a Foreign Passport number even then an option. She even went so far as to say that adding a Foreign Passport number into the myGovID app wouldn't work because it only accepts Australian Passport numbers.
