Hello, I have been given an authorisation request code (via email) from the RAM team for re-linking my business. Everything was ok until after selecting the "Accept" button in the Accept authorisation page an error shows:

" Authorisation already exists -

You already have an active authorisation for this business. Error code: REB.BR.0120 "

I was on the phone for several hours with the RAM staff but we still couldn't figure out why this error. Could I please get some help or advice?

Many thanks!

Hi @kkaus,

That error code comes up when you've already got an existing link active. You mentioned you were trying to re-link to your business. You'll need to make sure the first link is deleted before attempting to re-link, otherwise the system won't allow it. Do you know if the RAM team mentioned deleting the existing link? Unfortunately, we won't be able to go in and fix that for you on here - the RAM team will need to.

I am having exactly the same problem - with the error code REB.BR.0120 - how do I delete the first link?

Hi @DIANNEOUSTON

If you're a principal entity, your link does not expire or need renewing.

If you're an authorisation administrator, your link will expire and must be renewed. You'll need to delete your link and then re-link if you don't refresh it in for it expires.

To remove the link go to:

  • view or manage authorisations
  • click view next to the entity name
  • next to your name, select remove to delete your link.

You can read about managing authorisation on the RAM website.

Hi. I have the same problem Error code: REB.BR.0120. I rang the ATO twice yesterday, once to get a code and then again because I got this error so that gave me a second code. I am still getting this error so I tried to delink as per your advice but I can't see anywhere I can delink myself. I am the company director but I am listed as the Responsible Authority.

Hi @Ashmar,

Have you tried using this webpage to set up the RAM authorities correctly. You can manage authorisations and use the links from here.

As mentioned - If you're an authorisation administrator, your link will expire and must be renewed. You'll need to delete your link and then re-link if you don't refresh it in for it expires.

To remove the link go to:

  • view or manage authorisations
  • click view next to the entity name
  • next to your name, select remove to delete your link.

You may also need to refer to Ethan's response and have assistance to unlink your service.
