I have tried to log into MyGov ID on desktop and have gotten to the Code page but no code number is loading. I have opened the app on my phone, logged in, and no code is appearing for me.

The app has a message at the top of the screen about issues with a marriage certificate. I did not use a marriage certificate for my access. what should i do?

This issue usually happens if you have the MyGovID login page bookmarked on your computer.

 

To fix this, delete the MyGovID login page from your bookmarks and close your browser. Open a new browser and search for the service you were trying to access. This time, you should get you your 4-digit code on the app.

Hello I am having the same problem. After I key in my email address on mygovid website and go to the next page, the code at "Accept or enter the code" on the website is not created. It displays a wheel symbol that just keeps spinning. This will go on for an hour if I let it. I have deleted all bookmarks from the browser, cleared all browsing data and restarted the web page. The problem remains. I have done this in Chrome and in Firefox and still no four digit code is generated. I have tried this on Windows 10 and Windows 7 PCs and get the same result.


It worked last quarter (I report quarterly) but simply refuses to work at the end of June 23.


How do you fix this?

Hello. Have the same issue. Bookmark's not the problem. Removed all web page bookmarks and still the web page just waits and will not generate any code. Have tried the mygovid webpage on Windows 10, Windows 7 and my mobile phone after removing all bookmarks. All do the same thing and will not generate code. Have checked with internet provider, and checked router. No firewalls are on and no webpages are blocked.


Also have tried to phone MyGovId support using phone number on ATO site and phone calls just hang up after 50 minutes of waiting. I cannot contact the tech support people.


Not having much luck here.


MyGovID worked last quarter but will not work June 2023.


Can you help please. Need to lodge eBas soon.

I try the number [removed by moderator] opt 2 again. I have been trying that number and option for the past few days. I tried again this morning and they offered the option of a call back, which did not happen before. I will wait for the call back and see if they can resolve the problem. Many thanks S.G.

This happens to me every quarter! I spend so many hours trying to login! Just recently had issues on the myGov site because of other issues and spent hours cleaning up the mess! Every quarter something that should be quick takes hours... I still can not log in.... again!

Hey @stevenss,


We understand it must be frustrating for you.


This generally happens when you have the online services page bookmarked. If you're not trying to access it from a bookmarked page what is the error you're getting?


I'd also suggest clearing the cache and cookies on your device and try using a different browser.

Hi this is my first attempt at accessing myGovId


  • i dont have the page bookmarked and have cleared all my browsing history and caches
  • have tried multiple browsers (Chrome and Edge)
  • have tried it on my phone (Firefox), for the same result

I don't get an error message I just get the spinning wheels of waiting for the code to be generated so i can enter it into the App (point 2)


are you able to point me in the direction on my next steps to resolve this??
