Hello, I'm trying to access the live chat function on the ATO contact us page, but everytime I press the button that says start lodgement with myTax, it takes me to the mygov signin. After that it transfers to the ATO online services with live chat nowhere in sight, this just keeps on repeating as I go back to the contact us section on the ATO website.

The Live Chat function can be accessed when you're in the online myTax lodgement process at sections 3 (personalise return) and 4 (prepare return). It's a service we offer as an alternative to calling us when you get stuck at certain questions or experience issues. It's not available outside of myTax.

Can you tell me are you able to log onto myGov ok, and are you getting any errors?
