I had this same problem a few weeks ago, and now it is happening again. The MyGovID app keeps telling me it needs to update to a newer version, error code CER000001 ... but when you press update, it takes you to the App store, and back again ... in a loop with the same error code ... have tried deleting app, re-starting my phone, etc etc to no avail. ... Last time I had same problem and the next day I was able to log in with no issues ... WHY IS THIS HAPPENING ??????
Hi @Cyndy_R,
Sorry to hear you're running into issues. That error code indicates an issue between the app and the system backend. The usual cause of this is the app being out of date (but obviously you've already checked this). By the sounds of it something else is causing the issue. When you had it previously was there anything you did that fixed? Or did it simply go away after a while?
There's a few other things we'll get you to try first before we advise further:
- check that your device time and date settings are set to automatic,
- close your app,
- turn off Wi-Fi on the device,
- enable mobile date (if required),
- reopen the app.
Let us know if this sorts it out as time settings can often cause this error.
