Hi


I requested by phone call last year that the previous tax agent I used be removed from my file and not receive any further documents . I can't get a hold of him we don't communicate for over a year . I was advised it was done. I checked communication preferences today and his still listed . He is also receiving my activity statements to his address.

As I can't remove him which I should be able to being my account . What other options do I have besides calling again because waiting time is really high

Sorry to hear you've been having trouble with this - hopefully we can help you out.


You should be able to remove your old tax agent as an authorised contact using the steps for updating an authorised contact online. If this doesn't work for you, there is also the option for you to complete a change of details form, just be aware that this will take time for us to process.


If you are in the process of using a new tax agent, once they add you as a client this will override your previous tax agent's authority.

If you are in the process of using a new tax agent, once they add you as a client this will override your previous tax agent's authority.
