Hi,

I run a small business as a sole trader and have issued several invoices.

  1. I am currently not registered for GST
  2. Have issued about 20 invoices
  3. I have accidentally included the word 'Tax Invoice' at the top using an online template as a base.
  4. Each invoice DOES mention 'No GST has been charged'

I have since removed the word 'Tax' from my template but do I need to reissue them all and contact my clients? No one has flagged this as an issue at this point.

I don't mind reissuing them at all, but I am more concerned that this may cause issues on my clients' end, or is it okay as long as the invoice mentions 'no GST has been charged'?

I appreciate your advice on this.

Tomo

Hi @tom1124,

That should be fine to leave it as is. As you mentioned in each invoice that GST wasn't charged, there should be no confusion on the other end. If it was unclear we'd recommend reissuing them. In the event of any clients contacting you to have it reissued you should do so for their records. However I can't see this causing any problems leaving it based on what you've provided!
