Im in severe financial hardship at the moment living off $160 per fortnight and desperately need to access my ATO held super.

I currently do not have an active super that I can transfer the funds over to be able to withdraw through the super.

Is there any other way I can access the monies from the ATO held super other then mentioned above.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Hi @Bjayne42,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. There are some circumstances where we can send out ATO-held super directly to you, but these have specific requirements. You can read about all available eligibility criteria on our website.

Unfortunately, financial hardship is not something we can release ATO-held super amounts under. However, this is a reason for accessing your super early from a superfund directly. If you were able to open one to have the money transferred into, you could look into accessing the amounts through them under this condition. You can read a bit more about accessing your super due to financial hardship on our website. Once opened then check out transferring ATO-held super to it.

I'd also recommend reading through our support page. It provides some links to some other information on ways we may be able to help out in difficult times.
