Hi everyone,

In the case we are moving office due to an expansion, can we cliam the below expenses as buisness outgoing or should we capitalise the amount:

  1. Moving expenses, such as, removlist costs and cleaning expenses (new and old office)
  2. Restoring the old office, before we move, we have to restore certain part of the office back to its orginal status.

Thank you!

Hi @bluestone,

These expenses need to relate directly to the business earning income. By the sounds of it they don't have a direct link, In saying that though, if you can work out that you meet the criteria to claim them then just keep record of that.

We have information about deductions for business premises on our website and this doesn't include relocating.

All the best for the move!
