my tax return was completed a while ago. I have since tried to amend my tax return twice. On the myGov app It gets to processing, then balancing account then back to processing then disappears from my online account altogether. This has now happened twice with no communication from you to even say I attempted to amend.

I amended the previous years tax return with no issue but this past year won’t let me.

Can you please advise how I’m supposed to successfully amend this?

Hi @Redhead5,

Sorry you’re having trouble amending your return. If you're within the time limits to amend, can you try the below?

I'd recommend clearing your cache and trying again.

If you're using Chrome:

  1.  On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
  4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  6. Click Clear data.

You can view troubleshooting guidelines on our website.

As a last resort we have information about how to request an amendment to your return via paper or a registered tax agent instead.

Let us know how you go.
