I worked for one broker finance company since 23 March 2022, recently I found out they paid me lower the legal minimum wage. I emailed them to paid me at least minimum wage and pay me back all the back pay in past, however they fired me the next morning.

last Friday, they paid me the back pay and last fortnight wage . but the employer put the back-pay $5,378.04as ETP Type O , then the tax on ETP is $1,721 , I don't think that is correct, is it?

THE BACK PAY should be belonged to PAYG?

how should this back-pay ( the gap which the employer didn't pay me on minimum wage)?

what should I do for this unfair with that employer? can I ask them to amend this mistake? however they didn't lodge this ETP to ATO, as they lodge the tax quanterly.

please help me.

Hi @AliceCN,

If you have a dispute with your employer or ex-employer in relation to your wages/backpay and tax withheld, we'd recommend you contact Fairwork. They'll be able to provide you with some guidance on what you can do. You can also get some guidance on whether this is also unfair dismissal.
