The superannuation fund you were with may hold your contributions, or they may have sent them to us. In more recent years, super funds are required to report to us (https://www.ato.gov.au/super/apra-regulated-funds/reporting-and-administrative-obligations/unclaimed-super/) twice a year for members with low balances, inactive members, former temporary residents and a few other obligations. If we receive your super balance we don't charge fees or charges. If you're a former temporary resident you may be able to access your super via DASP (https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Super/In-detail/Temporary-residents-and-super/Super-information-for-temporary-residents-departing-Australia/), you'd also have tax to pay on the amount. Even if you're an Australian resident, tax may apply. You may be able to view your super details online if you have or can set up a myGov account with us. There's also information on our webpage on how to locate your lost super. (https://www.ato.gov.au/forms/searching-for-lost-super/)
