Called 28 days ago due to 45047 error (cannot log in/reset account as was set up using now defunct email address) Spent an hour on the phone with someone who advised that a "manual re-set" would be required and would occur within 28 days. 28 days have passed still no outcome. I am about to lose my job because I require MyGovID access to do my security clearance. Next step will be to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner.

Hi Zostar,

The support response timeframe of "28 days" is unrealistic when the ATO and multiple other government agencies expect you to respond or report within timeframes significantly less than that, generally 1-14 days.
Don't waste any more time on the phone.
I recommend you write directly to your Federal Member of Parliament, clearly explain your experience, what you need and your direct contact information.
This will be forwarded to the myGovID team and they will obligated to contact you directly and provide assistance.
