My daughter just applied for a TFN and accidentally entered "No" for tax resident, when it should have been "Yes". She has been issued the TFN. How does she correct?

Hi @jao219,

If your daughter has received her TFN already then this shouldn't be an issue for her! We don't attach residency status to TFNs, so its not something she needs to update until it's time to lodge her next tax return.

She can update her tax residency status with us when she lodges her tax return. There will be a question at the start that asks if she is an Australian resident for tax purposes, she just needs to answer "yes".
