Have outstanding returns, but need to change names of companies this financial year

You can change the name for the entities in the current financial year even if there is outstanding tax returns. As we will hold an audit history with the effective date of when the name was changed. Regardless, of the name held at the time the outstanding lodgements are lodged this won't impact your lodgement if the ABN and TFN have not changed.
