After taking out a Term Deposit the bank involved has told me they do not have the capacity to accept a TFN for the Super Fund.

Will with holding tax be applied?

Check that the TD is actually in the name of the SMSF trustees, and designated as a SMSF account.

Then it would be the only bank that doesn't.

Hi Bruce,

Yes is in the Super Funds name.

with Corporate trustee.

The website and bank will only accept 9 digit TFNs and they insist they are not required to take a TFN so

too bad.

Agree they must be the only ADI which won't.

You find this out AFTER the deposit is opened.

Ludicrous.

Many thanks.
