We were married when we purchased a property to live in after our home burned down in a bushfire. We lived in the property for 2 and a half years while we rebuilt. At the time, for simplicity my husband organised the purchase, and the property is in his name only. If we add my name to the title now, will it trigger a CGT event?

Yes, but the main residence exemption can be applied if the property was always his main residence up to that time.
