I'm a casual worker at a retail place, and that is my only source of income other than occasional jobseeker that I only just started getting.

I’ve been looking into making voluntary contributions to my super in order to get that government co-contribution incentive for low income earners. I otherwise fit all of the requirements, however I’m uncertain I’ll get it because I’m a casual worker.

It was the Industry Superfund webpage which stated to be eligible, you need to “Be in full or part-time employment and/or run your own business”. This is when it raised questions in me whether being a casual worker may perhaps make me ineligible ?? I couldn’t find anything on the ATO webpages.

As far as im aware being a casual employee has nothing to do with it.

so you should be fine if you meet all the other criteria.
