The types of vehicles you can lease are set by the employer and provider. If they've advised the payload shouldn't exceed 1000kg this could be to fit in with what we define as a car. If you want to lease a car that has a payload of 1050kg that's up to the provider. It'll change the type of fringe benefit and the amount of FBT your employer would have to pay.
