Can I reduce my taxable income as a sole trader by making additional contributions to my HECS debt? Employers can contribute to hecs contributions of their staff, Am I able to do this for myself as a sole trader?

Unfortunately, no, a sole trader can’t be an employee in their own entity.
This means they’re not able to make salary sacrifice contributions towards their HELP/HECS debt.
