I posted my application for : Tax file number – application or enquiry for individuals living outside Australia. From within Australia and provided and aus address for where my tfn number can be sent to so my wife who is a resident can complete her Centrelink application for family tax benifits but my tfn still hasn’t arrived
Hi @domt,
Unfortunately the application for individuals living outside Australia can take a little longer than other TFN applications, because of the time it takes for us to receive the application in the post. The estimated time frame is 28 days from when we receive the application (not the date you send it). Since its been 31 days since you applied, you're still technically within that 28 day time frame. With any luck you should receive your TFN soon!

Thanks so much - today is day 38 now and we still haven’t received anything what should we do now?
Hi @domt,
The link you've provided has instructions on what to do if you haven't received your letter that lets you know what your TFN is after 28 days.
Hopefully it's not too far away.
