Hi, I amended a tax return on 9th May and it's still showing as "processing" but states the return requires manual processing.

In the meantime, I have received multiple messages saying I owe a debt (from a previous amendment where I made a mistake) and has now fallen overdue. But have also received a text saying there is a delay in processing my return and I don't need to do anything unless contacted.

Since this last amendment I have realised I've made another mistake and will need to amend again (over-calculated foreign non-resident income due to overlapping period).

What do you suggest?

Thanks

Hey @DunkyDory,

Is the debt from the original lodged tax return and you've now lodged an amendment for that tax return?

You can look at entering into a payment plan for the debt that's current on your account. This will be until you get your amendments sorted. We recommend not lodging another amendment until the other one has been finalised first. This can cause further delays.
