As a higher income earner can I salary sacrifise at work to my spouse's super to top up the super?

Thank you

Whist it is not illegal to do so, salary sacrificing to your spouse's super would not be cost effective. This is because the payments will be subject to FBT, with you employer likely to expect you to also sacrifice the FBT cost.

And the super would still be taxed 15% in the fund.
