I previously had a mygov account using my personal email account and linked to my mobile number at the time. However over time i lost access to that number as i switched phone providers, thus unable to log into my MyGov account.
Once this occured i have had to reset up mygov account using my work email address and my new mobile number, i have no issues with this new account however i want to switch this account to using my personal email account and not use a work email. Mygov wont allow this since it is already in "use" i.e my old account i can no longer access.
When i log into the original (personal email) mygov it goes to send a SMS to my non existent mobile, if i select didnt get my code and use Digitial Identity (MyGovID app) to sign in i bump into issues...
My Digitial ID/MyGovID app is all setup using my personal email address and correct personal details and has a strong identity strength etc.
When i continue with the Digitial Indentity i am able to login correctly, get the passcode correctly on the app and enter it into the browser however the browser then forwards me to a page with an error (below)
We can't connect your Digital Indentity
Your Digital Identity email address doesn't match your myGov email address. (RFM129)
Your myGov email address must match your Digital Identity email address. You can update your email address in your Digital Identity app. Once you've updated your email, please try again.
This is the issue i have is MyGovID account is using the same personal email address that i am trying to recover for MyGov account. Is there anything i can do to try and access my original MyGov (personal email) or get past this issue?
