I need to lodge a paper tax return for 2008-2009 and 2011-2012, but I am not sure on the amounts that I earnt and I can no longer contact the employer. I have tried to call the tax office number on [removed by moderator] but keep getting a message saying that they are too busy and not able to take my call. This is very frustrating as I have been trying to call at different times but keep getting the same message. Am I able to retrieve my statements somehow online? I also need my statements for centrelink as well.

Sorry to hear you haven't been able to get through on the phone. We get so many calls at tax-time. The years you are looking at are too long ago to get online. For copies of tax documents, you are already doing the right thing. The other option is to write to us or ask your tax agent to get the information if you have one.
