As a new worker in Australia, this is my first time lodging a return.
I attempt to link ATO to Mygov but failed, it asked me to call up and get a linking code.
I tried calling up, different time, different numbers, different days, get the same message saying "Due to peek demand unable to take call."
There is no option to be waiting in a queue and have them to call back.
There is no option to get a linking code online.
It is absolutely frustrating and utterly ridiculous.
No wonder so many new comers do not pay tax, I wouldn't want to pay tax if I know I have to go through such frustration.
It's 2023 already, as a first world country, ATO really needs to up their game and provide more options, we are hard working people, we do not have all that time to waste attempt dialing just so that we can pay our tax bills.
