Hello,

A couple of months ago (9th of June) I submitted an online application through Secure Mail in order to receive my Certificate of Residency. As I did not receive a response within 28 days I also sent the form through mail on the 5th of July. On the 10th of July I received a message on my Secure Mail, which contained a copy of the certificate for my archive and informed me that the original certificate would be sent to my address.

However the original certificate (which I need) never arrived so I contacted support at [removed by moderator]. I was told that they could not reissue or even track my sent certificate and that I should submit the form again. I had already done that through registered mail on the 6th of July so I waited and after 37 days, my certificate still has not arrived. I contacted support again and they were unable to help me again.

So my question is, how can I actually get my original issued certificate as I have already made two form submissions (that take 28+ days each) and customer support has not been able to help me? The certificate has already been issued so it's not a matter of wrong data and I confirmed my adrress is correct (I have received hundreds of parcels and letters using the same address)

Hello there @Aegandor,

That must be frustrating.

Sometimes we cannot re-issue the certificate and you must re-apply. It might not have been explained properly, but this is right. If you were asked to re-apply, we cannot send out a copy that will meet your needs.

The best thing to do is re-apply. It is recommended you do this online to avoid any extra time waiting for the mail to reach us.

That is not helpful at all. As I explained I already reapplied, this time through mail, and have not received my certificate 40days later. What exactly would applying for a 3rd time achieve? Not to mention that I cannot even re-apply in the online platform as the Secure Mail page is stuck in an infinite loading screen (I have tried multiple browsers, devices, deleting history and also the solution in this question https://community.ato.gov.au/s/question/a0J9s000000OLVY/p00200046 with no success)

As it has been months of me trying to get a simple ceritificate (that has already been issued) and as I need to get it certified with an apostille to send to my home country as soon as possible, I wish this matter escalated/resolved ASAP.

Hi @Aegandor,

I can understand how annoying this can be and appreciate the effort you're making.

EdenATO has provided you with the necessary instructions. We don't have access to accounts here so we're unable to issue you your certificate.

Hopefully it isn't too far away.
