Hello all,

I recently changed jobs, and opted to join the new employer's default super fund.

My old super fund closed my "business" super account as it is exclusively offered to their employees, and created a "personal" super account for me. They did not transfer my super to the "personal" super account.

Because the "business" super account is shown as "closed" on ATO's "Transfer Super" page, I am unable to select it to transfer my super from it to my new employer's super fund to consolidate it. I can only select the "personal" super account which has no money in it.

Could anyone shed some light on how to proceed? Thank you!

Hey @a1079atw!

Ahhh okay, this should be fairly straightforward for you, we hope!

Do you see in the super section of your MyGov account in the ATO portal, any ATO held super at all? This is when the fund send us the balance if the fund has been closed, or is deemed inactive.

If you do see that we’re holding it, you can apply for the rollover to your new fund IF your new fund will accept rollover from the old fund as it is as you mentioned a 'business' fund. It may be a case that rolling over to the new fund isn't an option. In this case, you'd need to contact the fund and ask about accepting roll overs from the 'business' fund.
