Hi, I want to work as a freelancer, but I will need an ABN.
I have gone through the ABN application form but I have the following questions regarding what information to fill in right there ?

Cool to hear you are operating as a business so let’s answer these questions for you:
1. These two are not mutually exclusive. A Sole Trader is someone operating their business as an individual, where as a Contractor is a blanket term for someone operating a business providing services.
2. You need to select the most relevant reason as too why you are applying for your ABN, whether that be in the form of a business or for investment purposes for example.
3. The main business activity is used as a guide for us to know if a business is reporting unexpected amounts for whatever industry their in. If you change your main business activity you can Update your ABN details at a later time.
