Dear ATO,

I believe when we lodge report to the long service department, we need to lodge ot for the employees in Building & Construction industry.

Can someone please assist is there anythng else needs consider?

Hi @TotalTax,


Long service leave reporting isn't managed by us. It's governed by state and territory laws, and each state has its own long service leave authority.


What you may be thinking of is the Taxable payments annual report (TPAR), which is a separate ATO requirement. If you operate primarily in the building and construction industry, you must lodge a TPAR with us by 28 August each year. This reports payments you've made to contractors for building and construction services.


For long service leave reporting requirements though, contact your state or territory long service leave authority directly.
