Hi, my mother passed away late last year and I am the LPR. I need to lodge a few years of Refund of Franking Credits, I have the printed applications. I just need to know whose TFN, name and date of birth I put on the application? Do I sign it as Legal Representative of (Mum's Name) Deceased? My mum was a pensioner and no other income besides the pension and small dividend received twice a year. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi @Jojo88,

For the Application for Refund of Franking Credits for Individuals, you'll use your mother's TFN, name and date of birth on the form. You'll sign the application as the Legal Personal Representative (LPR) on behalf of your mother's deceased estate.

The application covers the deceased person's dividend income and franking credits entitlement as part of managing their tax affairs. When you lodge the application, you'll need to identify yourself as the LPR and confirm your authority to act on behalf of the estate.
