hi, i made a tax amendment earlier in march and the status changed to processed on 11 march 2026 and then it disappeared like it wasn’t ever there and since then i have not had any feedback from ato but when i check on tax accounts descriptions its says cancellation of tax return individuals and the amount is on debit (DR) if anyone can elaborate simply what this means ill appreciate it very much

A cancelled transaction on your income tax account doesn't necessarily mean your amended return has stopped processing. We're likely reviewing your return to ensure you've included all the information that's been reported to us, so your return may be on hold.
This cancelled status can appear for 24 to 48 hours during our review process. The debit (DR) entry you're seeing is part of the balancing process for your tax account, which happens when we calculate your refund and check it against any debts or obligations with us or other government agencies.
It's important you don't lodge any further amendments during this time, as this can slow things down.
