Australia's tax year is the Australian financial year. 01 July 20XX to 30 June 20XY i.e. 2026 tax return is 01 July 2025 to 30 June 2026
Online tax returns are available AFTER the tax year is over i.e. The online 2026 tax return is not available yet
Paper tax returns can be lodged early before the tax year is over but generally that's for temporary residents that left early or an entity stops existing
