I am working as GST registered subcontractor(of my company )and will get 40%of the net Billing. My employer (Main Business owner) is getting 60% and they said they will pay my GST and I will get 34% instead of 40%. I am confused. Please tell me who is responsible for the GST of the money that I will receive?

Can they pay my GST on their business name?

Thank you

Best to ask a tax agent or ATO's technical assistance

  • You would be
  • The 6% seems to be for their GST obligation 60%*10%=6%, 40%-6%=34%

Can they pay my GST on their business name?

  • I don't think so

So the gross billing is billed to who i.e. 100% is whose income? and then the employer takes their 66%?
