I currently run a garden maintenance business as my main sole trader income, earning around 65k a year and I’ve been setting up an online store to sell my literature/ books that I've made, I haven’t sold many books at this stage so there isn’t much income but I want to know if I should Reg GST just for that one business or both and am I able to claim all expenses relating to the production cost and marking cost, as setting up cost are more than income for the online business , any advice would be great so that I can implement the steps I need to take.

GST registration is not linked to your business. It is linked to your ABN. Register for GST and you account for GST for all businesses operating under that ABN.
"You only need to register for GST once, even if you operate more than one business."

Set up costs are often not claimable business expenses. Those expenses incurred once your business starts can be claimed. See below for information.

Whether it is an advantage to register for GST only you can determine. If you have mainly business customers (who are registered for GST) for your garden maintenance business it may well be an advantage to be registered. Registered for GST, you can also register for fuel tax credits for fuel used in your mowers and other machinery used in your business (except for your vehicle)
