I've held shares in 3 companies for over 12 months. Company A has a conference over days at Perth on 21 & 22 Jun. I then have an AGM back to back days on 28 and 29 Jun for Company B and [Removed by moderator] at the same City. I have to travel to attend both the Conference and AGM to Perth from East Coast. Is the cost of staying in Perth between the Conference and the AGM deductible when the only reason I am staying is to avoid the expense of travelling back and forth between the east cost and perth just to have to travel back again a few days later? I believe the cost of attending the AGM is deductible, and the conference is deductible. Is the cost of staying in wait for the AGM's deductible when the only reason for doing so is to avoid further expenses?
