Hi,


On the ATO app it showed that I had a debt of $945.10 owing.


I paid the amount immediately via BPAY on 5 May.


In the “Actions” section of the ATO app, both:

• Lodgements = Up to Date

• Payments = Up to Date


However, as of today (17 May), the app is still showing a debt of $945.10.


It has now been 13 days since the payment was made (my Commbank app has the ATO logo & says the payment is paid/cleared).


Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the payment to reflect correctly in the app and for the debt balance to clear ?

Hi @2026,


The ATO app and ATO online services show your account info in real time, but sometimes there can be delays in processing.


If your bank has confirmed the payment cleared with the ATO logo, the funds have left your account, and you've definitely used the correct Payment Reference Number (PRN) for the right tax account we'd need to check your account directly to see what's happening with your payment.


I'd recommend phoning our individual enquiries line so it can be further looked into.
