FOR THE CURRENT TAX YEAR ENDING 30/6/2026 I CAN USE PREVIOUS YEARS GOING BACK TO 18/19 AND SO ON


IF I USE ALL MY 18/19 AND ONLY PART OF MY 19/20, WILL THE PART OF 19/20 THAT I HAVENT USED STILL BE AVAILABLE FOR NEXT YEARS RETURN ENDING 30/6/27 ??

18/19?

Can only go back 5 years. So 20/21 for end of 2025-26

Need to use up current year concessional cap before unused caps are used (starting from the earliest). See below

This may be the page you have looked at (which states 18/19) but this was last updated 24 July 2024 so it is 2 years out of date.

Any unused amount from an earlier year doesn't roll over to the next. It expires.

thanks for clarification re the years


if if use all of 20/21 but some of 21/22 catch ups , will the remainder of 21/22 that i didnt use still be available in the future ?
