The refund amount received differs by $660 to the figures submitted to the ATO via the BAS.
Is there somewhere within the ATO portal I can go to see why the amount received is short by $660.

Could be found under Accounts & payments - Account summary - activity statement.
Or lodgment's - activity statements.
The account summary shows all transactions for the account.

@KevColl is right you can check this on your ATO Online Services. Either ATO online services for individuals (if you're a sole trader) or ATO Online services for business.
