I am moving overseas next as my visa is expiring at the end of the month but I am still awaiting tax refund for this year. Would me moving and the visa ending affect the tax return/refund or processing time in any way ?

Hey @Harris123

Your moving away and your visa expiring would not directly affect the processing of your tax return. Things to consider may be, the address and the bank account we have on file. If the bank account is closed when we issue the refund, it will bounce back to us, and we’ll send you a cheque to your nominated address.

You may also need to Lodge your tax return before leaving Australia for the 2024 financial year or Lodge a non-lodgment advice if you are not required to lodge for 2024.
